Rev. Baker is the newly elected part- time pastor of Emmanuel United Methodist Church (Sumter)

 He is the husband of the former Josephine Hannible.They have six grown children, three boys, three girls and three grandchildren.

             Rev. Baker was pastor at Franklin United Methodist Church, Denmark, South Carolina, Orangeburg District.

        He is an educator at Brooklyn Cayce High School in Cayce, South Carolina, working as a Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp. (ROTC) instructor.

His motto is: "DO the Right Thing"
